About!

I’ve always been bad about headlines.

I can sometimes come up with a catchy way to begin something, and usually hit my stride around the middle. I struggle with endings, and figuring out how to tie it all together.

But headlines? Those lovely little bows on top of the literary package that say, “Look at me! You must unwrap me now and digest all of my wordy goodness!” Those are the worst.

Which is why my major headline, the title for my entire blog…is my name.

I like a lot of things. I like to write about a lot of things. And I know that every piece of blogging advice ever tells you to pick a theme and stick with it.

But I’m a rebel. I have a nose ring, for goodness sake! That must account for something! So, I’m throwing caution to the wind. And I’m just going to write what I always write…what the Lord God puts on my heart.

I love to write just about more than anything. It’s the major way God speaks to me. It’s my worship. It’s the way I rest in Him.

A few good friends have told me that what the Lord puts on my heart to write shouldn’t just live in the pages of my little moleskin journals. So, I’m taking their advice. And a leap of faith. And sharing a bit of myself with, well, you.

But back to that whole my name is the title of my blog thing. Yeah, that kind of weirds me out. But I told you I’m bad about headlines, and this is a good way for me to let people know how to find this little corner of the internet. I wanted to clarify, though, that this blog really isn’t about me. It’s about Him, and what He’s doing in my life. It’s also about stuff that I find funny, and whatever else I feel like adding.
